Isaiah -- an extremely inspired, poetic, and epic prophet promoting the supremacy and singularity of the God of Israel, who is the only God of the earth and the universe. The book is naturally divided to punishment and doom prophecy -- the first 39 chapters, and resurrection and upcoming prophecies for the balance of the book (to chapter 66). So different are the prophecies in the two parts that some suspect that two or more authors so prophesied.
Isaiah lived in the 8th century BC, and focused his attention on Israel.
